Athena Plichta Photography

So this is something very different from what I usually post. It's good to mix it up once in a while. I'm so thankful that this gorgeous family obliged me when the itch to photograph people other than my kids resurfaced recently.

Mom is the area program coordinator of the homeschooling charter school we are a part of. She's a wonderful and awesome person who has helped me gain a lot of confidence in our homeschooling journey. Her family was a delight to shoot and be around, and the location she chose was perfect... for me half the battle is finding a great location and having done zero scouting in the area since moving here, it was a relief to have that detail taken care of from the get-go.

While I was definitely quite rusty at this session (my last family shoot was oh, last December...), it was fun to move around and be outdoors for a change. And the kids -- oh, the kids! I remember why I enjoy photographing children :)
