when given the opportunity, i engage in a bit of drive-by shooting... the harmless kind of course. as a child i tried to imprint in my mind the things i saw outside of our moving car; old habits die hard. it's just easier now to capture scenes permanently. i usually bring a fair amount of reading material for long trips though i realize the impossibility of doing any sort of reading in the car when there is so much to look at out there. here are some shots from a brief road trip to southern california last month.
